Matt Bruinooge is a visual artist who combines sculpture and photography to reshape the digital mediation of physical space. His practice explores the optical codes that channel and simulate perception. Objects are scanned and printed across dimensions, uncovering hidden topologies, strange artifacts, and tactile textures that emerge from source data.
His work has been shown at La MaMa Galleria (New York, NY) and Greene Naftali (New York, NY). He holds an M.F.A. from Brooklyn College and a B.A. in Computer Science and Visual Art from Brown University. He is a 2025 artist-in-residence at Pioneer Works.
